Think vibrant. Think funky. Think BOLD. Graphic prints are here and based on my perusal of a number of fall collections, the look will be with us a while. As with florals, your choices of graphic prints are vast and varied. There are tribal prints, black and white designs evoking M.C. Escher drawings, tie dye and ones that look like the fantastical folders I had in elementary school. The options are dizzying – both figuratively and literally.
For example:
Here, I kept it simple by adding black and white pearl bracelets, black pumps and a black purse. The print of the dress keeps the look from being boring, but the black and white palette keeps the outfit more on the conservative side of things.
This dress is a lot of look in and of itself. Above, I added a neutral shoe and bag to keep the look simple. Below, I added even more color with the rings and shoes (which, I know, are incredibly expensive but are just so great with the dress). There’s a lot going on in this look, but it works because you are staying in the same basic color family.
And a few more options.

Graphic prints translate well for work or play. And don’t forget, while you are getting your graphics for summer, think of ways you can translate pieces fall to get some extra bang for your buck. Come September, add a pair of opaque tights, a longer sleeve or an extra layer and switch out the sandals for oxford pumps or knee high boots!

so i think i could do this, but it would obviously depend on the pattern. definitely something to keep my eyes open for!
